Your wills team forgot you have a phone
A modern estate is half digital and the standard will template barely mentions any of it. Digital legacy captures the second half: which platforms, what should happen to each (delete? memorialize? transfer?), and who has the legal-and-practical access to make it happen.
Access method, not passwords. Writing real passwords on a printable that lives in a binder is exactly the failure mode this sheet exists to prevent. Point at the password-manager master record, the sealed letter, or the 2FA backup codes location — let *that* be the single secret to protect.
Use vendor tools where they exist: Apple Legacy Contact, Google Inactive Account Manager, Facebook memorialization — three rows on this sheet correspond to features the platforms already built and most people forget to enable.
Templates only — not legal advice. US RUFADAA, EU GDPR, and platform terms-of-service all interact here. The named *digital executor* may need explicit will language to act — pair with the Will Drafting Worksheet above.
