What is a nonogram (picross)?
A nonogram (also called picross, paint-by-number, or griddler) is a logic puzzle where you fill cells in a grid so each row and column matches the clue numbers. Each number is a run of consecutive filled cells; runs are separated by at least one empty cell.
How to solve
- Look for rows or columns whose clues force cells near the edges (for example a single “10” on a 10×10 row).
- Mark definite filled cells, then mark empties with an X so you do not overfill a run.
- Cross-check with the other direction until the picture appears.
