Print-at-home business cards without design software

This template is meant for quick contacts and prototyping: freelancers at meetups, tutors, garage businesses, or students building a first portfolio. Each cell repeats the same five fields so you can pencil information in or overwrite with a typewriter-style font in an editor later. It is not a substitute for professional offset printing—edges may show if your printer shifts slightly— but for many situations a clean trim on a paper cutter is enough.

Standard sizes and scaling

North American cards are often 3.5″ × 2″. European cards sometimes use 85 × 55 mm. Because home printers and PDF viewers differ, always print one test sheetat 100% and measure one card against a ruler before printing a full run. If your grid is slightly off, adjust printer scaling or pick a different "cards per sheet" option above.

Paper recommendations

Use heavier matte or linen paper (at least 80 lb cover equivalent) if cards will be handed out bare; lighter paper bends and feels informal. For double-sided printing, run a test to check show-through from the back—very thin stock will reveal the reverse lines.
