Elf arrival letter, goodbye letter, and North Pole grades

Families search for elf on the shelf printables in late November because the first morning needs a letter that already knows the elf name and the child name — not a blank “Dear ______” that you scramble to fill at 11 p.m. This kit prints three matching sheets: an arrival letter that announces the scout, a goodbye / departure letter for Christmas Eve or Christmas morning, and an official-looking North Pole Report Card with behavior categories and empty checkboxes so a parent can mark kindness, listening, chores, sharing, and “magical mischief” before slipping the page under a mug.

This is not a Letter to Santa (the child writes wishes north) and not a Christmas Wish List (who gets which toy). The letters are scout-to-child: arrival rules (look with eyes, not hands), a promise to notice effort, and a closing signed with the elf’s name. The report card is a playful household worksheet — it does not grade children in any official sense and is not a school behavior chart.

How to print the kit

1. Type the elf’s name and one child or a household line such as “Emma and Noah.”
2. Uncheck any sheet you do not need this year (arrival only on day one; goodbye in late December).
3. Pick an accent color that matches wrapping paper or the scout’s outfit, then Letter or A4.
4. Download the PDF in the browser and print at 100% scale on white or cream paper.

Print a second report card mid-season if you want a “progress” page. Change only the child name and reprint if siblings should each get their own grades sheet. Pair December planning with the Christmas Planner so gift deadlines do not collide with the scout’s first morning.
