One log for the boarder, the trainer, and the vet
Horse care happens across three people who almost never talk: the boarder (or barn owner) handles feed and turnout, the trainer runs lessons, and the vet / farrier show up on a schedule. This log keeps all three columns visible so a soundness issue noticed Tuesday after a lesson is provably tied to a farrier visit eight weeks ago.
Feed AM / PM by weight beats *one scoop* — concentrate density varies by brand, and an obese easy-keeper on a thoroughbred ration is a metabolic disease waiting to happen.
Hooves picked / shod column makes the farrier cycle visible: 6–8 weeks for shod horses, 8–12 weeks for barefoot. Late = stretched white line and chips.
Use the Lost Pet Flyer template should the unthinkable happen on a trail; it adapts to horses with a few field edits. Consult your vet for vaccination and deworming schedules — they vary by region and exposure.
