Wrong gradient kills more reptiles than wrong food
Reptile husbandry is mostly thermal management: a basking-side temperature *and* a cool-side temperature, both measured at substrate level with a probe (not a stick-on dial — those lie). Logging both columns on every row catches the slow drift that happens when a UVB bulb ages or a thermostat fails.
Humidity % has its own species window — too low for ball pythons triggers stuck sheds; too high for bearded dragons triggers respiratory infection. Tracking it daily gives you the *average*, not just today's reading.
Shed? is a quick yes/no that retroactively explains a week of food refusals. Pair with the Pet Medication Schedule if your vet has prescribed antibiotics or parasite treatment.
