A play paper, not a coloring sheet

Football play diagram paper exists for one job: give the coach a clean, scaled mini-field to draw the next play in pen. Hash marks have to be in the right place (the angle of an out-route looks different from the NCAA hash than from the NFL hash), yard lines have to be evenly spaced (so the sketch reads as 5 yards deep rather than vague slant), and the page has to fit four plays so an installed package goes on one printed sheet.

Hash mark presetsmatch the three real-world hash configurations: NFL hashes are 70'9" apart (close to the center of the field), NCAA hashes are 40' from each sideline, and high-school hashes are about 53'4" apart. Each shifts where the ball is spotted after a tackle inside the numbers — and thus the geometry of every play call.

Use the 4 plays per page layout for installs and walk-throughs; 1 per page when you want to mark up a single key play big enough for the whole offense to read off the wall. Pair with the Coach Practice Plan for the Tuesday session and the Lineup / Roster Sheet for game day.
