Soccer formation sheets are the difference between a tactics talk that lands and one that becomes a Wikipedia recital. Pick the formation, print, and you have eleven labelled circles to draw lines between — pressing triggers, transitions, set pieces, runs in behind. The shape is doing the talking before you say a word.
All five popular formations are pre-marked: 4-4-2 (the classic flat back four), 4-3-3 (modern possession default), 4-2-3-1 (most Premier League sides), 3-5-2 (wing-back overload), and 5-3-2 (deep-block away day). Switch to blank pitch when you want the players to draw the formation themselves — a useful exercise the Monday after a loss.
Pitch markings are accurate-by-ratio: centre circle 9.15 m, penalty area 16.5 × 40.32 m, goal area 5.5 × 18.32 m, penalty spot at 11 m, with the penalty arc (the "D") drawn correctly outside the box. Pair with the Coach Practice Plan for the rest of the binder.
