Why practice decimals on paper?
Aligning decimal points is a separate skill from whole-number arithmetic. Short columns of written problems build automatic alignment and help teachers spot whether mistakes come from place value or from carrying. Mixing addition and subtraction on one sheet keeps students reading the symbol every line — a common exam skill.
Using this generator
- Start with one decimal place for introduction, then move to two places for money-like precision and harder carrying.
- Use subtraction only when you want to stress borrowing across zeros (e.g. 10.00 − 3.47).
- Click New problems before each print so students cannot copy answers from an earlier run.
